These are mysterious objects that can cause a chemical reaction and can become other objects, which Rayu naturally can manage using their fingers. If they utilize elements, they collide with each other and cause various chemical reactions in the place the user wants. Rayu call the effect “magic”, and they use it for their life.

The potential of magic is different according to each individual, for example, Baysuke is good at fire magic especially. But some races can’t use enough, so it’s often a problem apparently.

Rayu, which is the most prosperous race of Highbaha, is good at using magic so much. So they live mainly on magic in Rainrail, the Rayu’s town.

Orsueu is Keir’s village that exists in a vast forest. Keir don’t want to interact with other races so much and the village is within a barrier, so it seems hard for other races to even find the village.

Wolf is not good at magic, unlike Rayu. Instead of it, they live in a machine civilization mainly the electrical technique lately, which they made up on their own. Eductra is the capital of Wolf, where many electricity or machines are used.

In the present Highbahha, they usually use the so-called Rayu Calendar. Unlike Earth, a year on Highbahha is 8.7967 months long. But it’s not tidy so they divide a year into 8 or 9 months and make appropriate calendars every year.

Basically, wise people somewhere make calendars, so normal people don’t have to think too much and only see the calendars.

In addition, beware of how to count ages. The moment of birth is 0 years old but the rising age timing is not their birthday but the moment of a new year. Baysuke and Koota became 10 years old when the moment of the year 529 came in the Rayu Calendar.

In the Rainrail elementary school where Baysuke goes, mainly magic education is provided. But Baysuke is a normal elementary student, just the curriculum differs from that on Earth. So they seem to live a normal school life. They learn the important things to live in Rainrail, which are the basics of magic and how to defeat monsters for example.

In this world, it tends to become a society centered on races that are good at magic like Rayu, but other races have their own cultures and live variety.

Keir live a Self-sufficient life with the mind of cherishing nature, and they decide their roles with each other. They’re a highly cooperative race. Some Keir can use magic, and the barrier that they put on is also made by magic probably. Anyway, they’re a race that corporate with each other basically. They also seem to do hunting with a bow.

Wolf don’t have the potential of magic so much, so it’s too hard for them to participate in the society of Rayu. Instead of it, they live on machine civilization using electricity. Apparently, their technique is advancing at an accelerating rate as if it’ll be beyond the magic civilization of Rayu.

According to the Rayu Calendar, the year is now 529 in the Rayu Calendar　and Baysuke is 10 years old. The beginning of history seems not very clear because few records remain. Apparently, there are more races than now at first, but after the conflict era, the three major races remained, and have come to the present day. Each race had constructed cultures and civilizations on their own. But since the end of the war 5 years ago, their interaction seems to have been active.

In the previous era before the Rayu Calendar, there were old ethnicities on Highbahha on record. It’s not very clear because the record around the beginning of the Rayu Calendar has been lost, but traces of the civilization remain all around the place, so historians have been researching it continuously.
